SwizArt provides an opportunity for all those who like to paint and draw together, to meet in St. Swithun's Hall from 9.30 am to noon, on the first Wednesday of each month.  This is an activity for those who LIKE to paint and draw, it doesn’t matter if you are no good at it.

Some 22 Swiz Artists enjoy painting and drawing together, making new friends and having fun. Our group includes some professional artists and others who are beginners.  The SwizArtists work in whatever medium and at whatever level they choose.  SwizArtists provide all their own equipment and share their talent and expertise to encourage and help each other in their work.

A highlight of the previous year was creating the design work for a German- style Christmas Market and making the market goods which were sold to support Evangeline Sita's school for street kids in Hyderabad.  In association with the Christmas Market our first SwizArtists' Exhibition was held.  From the market stalls and the sale of paintings some $2500 was donated to the school in India.

As well as our art sessions, in 2009 SwizArt  invites all who enjoy working in any area of craft to join the group.  We also plan to organise some teaching sessions for those would appreciate a more structured learning environment.
